Guideline 1.1.3 - Safety: Weapons and Firearms Content

Apple is rejecting your app because it depicts illegal or reckless use of weapons, or it facilitates the purchase of firearms or ammunition. This covers firearm marketplaces, instructional content on weapon modifications, apps that glamorize weapon use, and dangerous object tutorials. This rejection most commonly hits: marketplace apps that include a firearms section, apps for gun shops or ammunition retailers, weapon modification tutorial apps, and shooting-related apps that cross the line from sport into glorification. Note that hunting and sport shooting apps are generally fine as long as they don't facilitate direct purchases or encourage reckless behavior. The distinction Apple draws is between apps about weapons (educational, sporting) and apps that facilitate the acquisition of weapons or encourage their reckless use.
